How to rip and stream DVD and Blu-Ray?

    Hello,

Over the years I've amassed a large collection of DVD and now I'm starting the same with Blu-Ray. I'd like to be able to stream my DVDs and Blu-Rays from a video server vs having to always pull out the DVD.

Ideally this should be as easy as using my Squeezebox in that I have a remote, I pick a song and it plays. Can I do this with Apple TV or is there some other inexpensive piece of hardware I could use for this?

I would start reading and searching in http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?f=39 .

But it will be very tricky to get it as simple as a squeezebox. And you neeed a lots of hdd space if you aren't going to shrink the blu-rays(but shrinking will take ages...).
