I have several big DV-files in an Avi-container(type2) that I want to split and have file-named according to the datecode in metadata.
E.G to make a split point when the differrence in datecode is more than specified (min:, sec) between scenes.
The WinDV tool can capture and do this from a FireWire stream but not from a file.
It would be nice if the processing speed could be faster than real time.
Anyone that have a tip for a suitable tool/application that can do this from one file to several files and maybe other tricks controlled by metadata.
It would be very nice if e.g. Virtual Dub could be extended with some other tool or procedure to fix this and/or work with metadata such as datecode.
All suggestions or discussions in this topic-area are very wellcome.
