    After a crash of my camera I succeeded to get back my files but files MP4 were transformed in :
    Movie1.MP4 (2Go) => Fil1.MOV (2Go) + Fil1.MP4 (256ko)
    Movie2.MP4 (1Go) => Fil2.MOV (1Go) + Fil2.MP4 (256ko)

    MP4 files are ok but very short (3s) and black.
    MOV are corrupted. I think I need to correct binary code.
    I don't understand why crash can generate MOV files from MP4 files.

    Do you know somebody able to fix that? ($$)

    Thanks

    You should probably continue this topic in your original post - crossposting is frowned upon, here.

    Run the videos through a utility like MediaInfo, to see what it says about them. You might be able to simply rename the extensions.

    However, I doubt it'd be possible (or easy) to hex/binary-edit the files back to what they were - do you know exactly what bits were originally in all those locations?
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

    I thought post in Newbie wasn't the good place sorry.
    Media Info said nothing special, .MOV extension and size.
    I can't understand how MP4 camera can generate .MOV.

    That's why I think crash just cutted header and generated a 256ko MP4 file with only header / launch session (3second black video). Big file .MOV is just moov atoms parts without header. Could be ?
