Hi there,
I'm trying to convert an flv file to mp3 (or, if possible, just extract the audio in one way or another that I can than either convert it ot import to quicktime)
It always worked, just a couple of months ago it stopped working... all I get is an error message saying: "[flv @ 0x5597b8]Unsupported video codec (7)" - what can I do? Your help is very much appreciated! Thanks!
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

The software you are using does not recognise AVC video in FLV container.
You can extract the audio with FLV Extract. -
@ Gavino:
thank you! I wanted it to try right away but I've just seen that it works on Windows only and I'm using a Mac
Is there any other way to either convert AVC in a FLV container? Or extract Audio on a Mac?
(didn't know this was the case... it's a youtube video... means they must have changed it since I can't open it with VLC either, which always worked...) -
found something
in case other Mac Users are interested: iExtractMP3 works like a charm if you want to extract Audio (no vid conversion...)
You can find it here: http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Audio/iExtractMP3.shtml
