    I am new here and well I assume this kind of topic can fit here since its video related. So I was wondering whats the best Mp4 To AVI Video Converter out there?

    Best is a subjective term and has no real meaning.

    What are you trying to do ? HD to SD ? SD - SD ?

    What sort of MP4 ? MP4 is a container and may contain several different types of video encoding. Some of these may be transferred to the AVI container without re-encoding.

    Depends on what you need really...

    WinFF is a front-end application for FFMPEG which can convert most things and is free:

    Or if you want to do the conversion online (without installing anything) then you could try fileminx
    http://www.fileminx.com which is also free
