"I have a "tsst corp dvd+- RW TS-H653B ATA" dvd drive and when I burn (?) a movie, it can only be played on my Dell computer where the DVD writer is installed. When I try to play it on my home entertainment system, it says "error, no content". I know that when I record a movie on the home ent. system, I have to "finalize" the data so it can be played elsewhere. How can I "finalize" the data on the computer so it can be played on my DVD player in my home entertainment system? I think that the problem is that the DVD disc I burned does not have the file structure of a DVD video disc but I don't know how create the file structure of a video disc.

Follow the link hech54 posted. You need to 'Author' the MPEG-2 files along with the audio to create the DVD file structure. More about the DVD structure, format and specification to the upper left on this page under 'WHAT IS' DVD. One basic freeware program for authoring is DVDAuthorgui.

    And welcome to our forums.
