  1. I decompiled a flash file with decompiler and it extracted 2 audio file with .nel extension. I analyzed file and I founs, files have nellymoser codec. I can't convert it any converter. File name: "Streaming sound 39.nel" what is this and how am I convert this audio file to mp3 or wav or windows media player and media player classic compatible audio file?(If I can convert, I mux this audio to video.) And decompiler can't convert only nellymoser audio to mp3 or wav. I have NOT flv video, SWF flash with .nel audio. SWF to video converters don't work whit this swf file.

It is (or can be) used in FLV, it is not the same as FLV.
Simply renaming to FLV is no good, as it is a raw audio stream, not an FLV container.

ffmpeg can probably convert the file.

Did you ever figure out how to convert those .nel audio files to anything useful? Even converting them from .nel to .flv would be enough to use flv2mp3.com, but I can't find anything on these annoying .nel files. Thanks for any info you have!

Where did you get the .nel file from?

My boss at work gave me an old swf file and wanted me to extract all the sounds and pictures and remake it for mobile phones. Of course they don't have the original files anymore... It took awhile to find a program that could actually extract everything without crashing (most likely because of these goofy audio files), but finally got one that worked. Some sounds were mp3's and others were .nel audio files. I'm not really sure how the flash program was originally made in order to make these files either. I tried converting it from swf to fla, but every program I've tried has crashed before it's able to convert anything. So unless I find one that will successfully convert it, I'm stuck with these .nel audio files for now. I'd appreciate any info you might have on converting these .nel files, thanks in advance!

    Hi
For flv (flash) files with Nellymoser audio, often ffmpeg will extract the audio as wav or mp3.
But I don't think ffmpeg will handle swf files.
If you post a sample maybe someone else will have a suggestion.
