Hi, I'm trying to make a 2-CD-R SVCD (with TMPGen 12-h) from a DivX movie I downloaded, after it gets past a certain part (while encoding with TMPGen) the picture is scrambled, like big color blobs moving around, can't make out the picture, but can hear the sound.
I've tried using the 2 pass and also constant quality with the average bitrate (2147), and both do the same.
I've watched the DivX all the way through and it's great quality (xmen)
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

Try opening it in Virtual Dub... and make a Direct Stream Copy of the movie... and try to encode that one. Not sur ethis will help though.

By the way.. you know you can't watch MPEG-2 files in the normal Windows Media Player huh? You need a DVD software Player... check out the tools section for that.
    Thanx/

    Thanks for replying!
Before I seen your reply I tried to resize it with VirtualDub so TMPGenc would not have to,
when it got to that same spot I got an error [ICDecompress], so I tried watching the DivX again, and at that spot it stops right there, but then picks back up again about 2 min. later.
I tried direct stream copy, but it did not fix it, so I just cut out the bad 2 min., seems to be OK now.

I have a DVD software player that came with my ATI AIW, but when I click open the SVCD or MPG, the normal windows media player opens it and plays them fine.
