My EasyCAP works fine when capturing composite, however when I use an S-Video cable, there is nothing on the screen. I have eliminated the possibility of a faulty cable by using it on my TV. I also set the Video Input to S-Video. Can anyone please help me?

    Computer Specs:

    -Windows Vista Home Premium SP2
    -3gb RAM
    -160gb Hard Drive
-Processor is AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core QL-64
    -32-Bit

Think the issue is the TV s-video is only input, not an output ... designed to be connected to devices such as camera's, dvd players, pvr units, pc tv-out, with tv-out function via s-video

  4. I'm having this same problem. Here are the specific's of my situation:
Several months ago I got an EasyCAP-DC60 to capture video from my PS2. I began using it with composite video, but I wasn't satisfied with the quality, so I bought a cable for my PS2 that has S-Video output instead. However, the EasyCAP does not detect the S-Video. At first I was able to get it to detect the S-Video for a short period of time (usually less than a minute), but now it doesn't even pick it up at all. I've tested the S-Video cable on my TV and it works just fine, so it's not the cable. I've tried capturing S-Video with the software that came with the EasyCAP, Windows Movie Maker, Windows Picture/Scanner Wizard, the Explorer window that you can access through "My Computer", and a program for OSX called "EasyCapViewer" but none of them can detect the S-Video signal from my PS2. I'm using NTSC video format.
    Any help is appreciated.
