  1. I am working on converting home videos from AVI --> MPEG. I want to maintain a good quality and have video and audio in the same file.

I am using TMpegEnc to do the encoding. If I convert to MPEG-1 it all ends up in the mpeg file. If I try to convertn to MPEG-2, it only let's me convert to mv2 + wav files. Is there a way to get the output to an MPEG-2 file that has both audio + video?

    Thanks!

Yes, change to convert the audio to mpeg audio(mpa/mp2) in tmpgenc and you will get one mpg file. Tmpgenc can't multiplex mpeg2 video and wav to a single mpg file.
