  1. Evening all,

    I have been out of the loop for a while and have lost track on what is the best piece of software.

    I have 3 avis which I would like to strip certain scenes from, intersplice them, overlay an audio track and chuck in some text panels.

    Whats the best (and simplest) at the moment.

    Thanks,

    Russell

    I would do that in Adobe Premiere 6.5 or CS3.
    Or FCP if on a Mac.

    It might be possible in something like VirtualDub, but it would surely be more work than Premiere.

  3. My Smurf, long time Sir.

    Do you have a link to CS3? I always found Premiere a bit too hardcore!

    CS3 = Adobe's "Creative Suite 3"
    So Premiere CS3, my current version (still have 6.5 because it's faster).
    CS4 is current version.

    Premiere isn't too bad.

    Those guides I think cover everything you've asked to do.
    Your project is something that would take maybe half a day, pretty basic and straight-forward project.

  5. Thank you Lord.

    Time to get the CC out and stump out for Mr Premiere.

    Take it easy.
