    I have a DVD folder on the hard drive, didn't rip by myself. I am using AutoMKV to convert to x264.

    When having VTS_01_1.VOB as input this happens:

    I have reinstalled ffdshow and avisynth.

    Not the first time it happens, but now i really want to solve it!

    You said you didn't rip the dvd itself, if you open the vob file in Powerdvd, or such does the time counter say on zero while playing the file?

    Does it have to be Powerdvd? In mpchc the time counter works all right. I have also made an iso with imgburn and then reripped with dvd decrypter to see if it had anything to do with a encryption still present. No progress.

    The DVD you made, try making an mkv file using makemkv and see if it fails as well.

    That works but converting to x264 after that fails as before.

    Try another converter like handbrake, staxrip, megui, xvid4psp. All can make h264 using x264.

    Trying Handbrake, it's encoding now. But ETA ~7 hours for 80 minutes video??

    Handbrake made a 11GB file :P Isn't 80% the same as 20 as Quantizer?
