    Once again.
Changing the Region Code does not guarantee you will be able to watch "European" DVDs because European DVDs are PAL Format. America is NTSC format. Video Format and Region Codes have nothing to do with each other.

The fact that "it worked in the past on model X" does NOT mean "it will work today on model Y". If you can find a hack for your player AND your player is able to convert PAL video to NTSC output, then yes, you can watch those movies. However, you should be aware that the vast majority of Samsung DVD players today are region locked and cannot be made region free. If you aren't able to find a hack for your player it's because one does not exist.

    Turn ON the DVD player.

Press FORWARD button on the DVD unit itself (not the remote control) until the RESET menu appears.

Select language, 1 = English (using the remote control - press the 1 button).

The press REPEAT on the remote control (NOTE: use the REMOTE key at the bottom of the remote control - ignore the one market Remote in the number buttons - it won't work) and key in the Region 4 password = 7 6 8 8 4 using the remote control.

A number "4" will show on the top left hand corner of the screen.

Then press 9 on the remote control to make the DVD player Multi Region (a number 9 will display in place of the 4).

Exit the menu and restart the DVD player.

    Simple as that.
