The 4Gig size limit is from file allocation tables. Win98 uses FAT32 which has the 4Gig limit. Win2000 uses either FAT32 or NTFS, WinXp uses either also. So if you want to get rid of the file limitation you need to use the NTFS. Which the following OS NT,2000 or XP.

I just loaded up a new system with Windows 2000 Pro...awesome! Win98SE is a joke compared to 2000 & XP. Trust me, if you upgrade, you'll wonder why you didn't do it a year ago. EVERYTHING loaded up with no problems, all drivers found, no errors, NO 98 BS to deal with. I am using Premiere to capture and can grab an hour of DV with no dropped frames, in one BIG capture. When you load up the OS, reformat the drives, follow the onscreen instructions and select NTFS (not FAT32) for you file system, this will cure the 4gb limit.
How do you like MSPro?? I have VS 5.0, but didn't bother loading it on this box. I really like Premiere so far for basic editing, fast & smooth, just getting cool titles & effects takes more work. I've heard MS pro is best for titling.
