One more question. It looks like Vevo kept the old encodes/files under their old urls and simply added some new versions to their "vault", for example, the video above is now also avaliable as 1080p (ca. 4000 bitrate /4200k).

Thank you, Blimey! I'm located in Europe, so sometimes I don't know whether certain streaming quality issues are due to georestrictions or just general settings. Too bad about the pillar/letterboxing, I always prefer the original resolution.
