How to download flash video RTMP/RTMPE streams using free software

guluser, hds is adobe's http dynamic streaming format to deliver fragmented .mp4 files (fmp4). it has been discussed plenty elsewhere on this forum.

this means rtmp as a protocol is likely history for cbs. I checked some other shows too, and it is gone. the adobehds script is the go to method for f4m manifest files, but it only works if there is no drm. I don't know if there is drm in this case because I wasn't even able to download the manifest url, even with the appended auth strings. but I didn't attempt it for very long.

I was wondering if Bahman or anyone else might be able to help me with the WWE.com site? A friend of mine, with a lot more knowledge on the subject than I, tried unsuccessfully to capture original files off that website, but couldn't find a flashvideo grabber to get the job done. With the WWE's new network around the corner, I was hoping to subscribe through their official webpage as I don't have any of the other supporting devices. That said, I can't stand to watch anything on the computer. As a result, for this new network to be something that I can enjoy, I think I'd need to be able to download the shows in the highest possible quality and then put them on a DVD to watch on a TV. And, before someone suggests I simply hook up my laptop to the TV using an HDMI cable, I can't do that as I don't have a spare laptop to devote to watching TV. I'm not sure as I don't have the newest version because my support period expired. An older version detects the f4m manifest, attempts to start a download, but does not actually download.

Isn't that kinda odd that it is still pending? One member provides a snippet of the video... I'm not sure what sort of help that is intended to be. And another member offers to download episodes for you if you specify which ones.

I suppose if they aren't willing to spill the beans, I'll just have to figure out what is working myself.

Thanks for the reply IDTox. Unfortunately I've already tried that link and downloading showed a 2Gb file in an flv format.
I'm not sure if that would even be the right file.
Is that what you see on your end? A 2 Gb file?
Do we need the rtmp programs to drop that url into?

N.B. if you could confirm that d/l with newest GetFLV build (i used 9.6.1.6 Trial) works for you then i would give it another try.
Because I also noticed the listed *.f4m in the app but these referred to the Commercials
