After two hours of trying a bunch of programs with my son "assisting" all I managed to get was more then a 1000 ts files (each about 7 sec long with IDM), but I would prefer one file in any format.

It plays OK in Google Chrome browser with Ubuntu, but "403 Forbidden" with FFmpeg and VLC and MPlayer.

I guess that rules out geographic IP restrictions. Unless you're using a proxy in Chrome.
