It's Adobe HDS with Flash Access DRM, no way those videos will be downloadable anytime soon...use a screen recorder.

  7. Does anybody know how to use URLSnooper for watchdisneychannel.go.com's premium content (i.e. for Xfinity/Cox Cable/Atlantic Cable subscribers)? It can't seem to find the relevant embedded URLs.

I just don't understand for the life of me how you people can figure out the details for RTMP Dump from a URL. URL Snooper can't find the URL's for my videos, yet somehow you people are still able to download them.

What is the method to go about doing this?

    Here is an example:

How would someone go about figuring out all of the details necessary for the RTMP Dump commands from the first URL?

RTMP Explorer gives me video files very easily, but the quality is terrible. I would appreciate it if someone were to teach me the proper way.

    Thanks.

There were dozens of concrete examples provided by Bahman earlier in this thread (sadly, he no longer seems to be participating here . . . ), plus some by a couple other members. Quite honestly, none of it rose to the level of what you could call a 'Guide' or tutorial, and I'd have to admit that about 97 % of it was over my head. (Or was -- for me -- more of a hard slog than what I cared to mess with.) That said, there were some others reading and posting here who did seem to be able to follow it, and benefit accordingly.

Shifting gears a bit here, as I've mentioned before there haven't been all that many video clips that I was sufficiently motivated to go chasing. And when there were, I could often find indirect alternatives. Internet searching is a skill, like many others. The clip may have interested someone else enough to get a link posted in some forum or other. (Hopefully a link that is still viable.) I often start my searches at several places like RSE9 or Filestube, and surprisingly often there are hits. I guess that's a lazier way of doing it, banking on someone else having already done the harder work for you . . . .

I was able to download the video using RTMPDumpHelper with RTMPDump 2.5. If you need links, PM me.

In terms of getting the raw command lines, I don't know what replaces Viacom's "base url".

@supagui1 Thank you, I appreciate that. But I've found out how to get the RTMPE links by examining the RSS feed and XML files for the video, so I can get them all on my own. I've also figured out what replaces the "base url", so that I can turn the RTMPE links into HTTP links and download the videos without using RTMPDump or any such program. But I do appreciate your help, thank you!!!!

  21. Hello people. I used RTMPDump 2.4 together with RTMPExplorer and it allways work without any problem. But when I get the latest version RTMPDump 2.4 010913 (January 21, 2013) it does not work. It return ERROR: Invalid AMF parameter. So, I am staying to old version.

I have different versions of TubeDigger installed on about 3 different rigs. Different versions (only one of which is 3.1x) because -- in my ignorance at the time -- I made the mistake of allowing it to update itself to ver. 4.x. As we have come to learn by various reports, the developer seems to have crippled ver. 4.x, in regard to some former RTMPE capabilities. So, I wouldn't waste a wooden nickel on version 4. If it still retained the ver. 3 functionality, I would gladly purchase a license, but I do have a thing about throwing good $$ out the window for nothing.

During the free promo period -- now ended -- I aided a couple of you in locating the hard to find ver. 3. I hope you did your installs promptly, because I find that the promo Reg Key is now rejected for installs. My strong hunch is that a simple overwrite of files will be unavailing. Some kind of knowledgeable tampering with Registry keys is likely to be required. If any of you are adept at this (or, better yet, have successfully done it, for TD-3), I would appreciate it if you would PM me with instructions.

  24. There are some significant improvements to Freemake Video Downloader. Be careful during the install process, so that you don't install a tool bar and some video game called Godfather. Well anyway one can now download all the videos in a playlist. I am testing it out right now. I am liking it so far. One key thing that I really like is that is downloading about 4 of the videos at a time in the playlist and quenieuing the rest. I imagine YouTube will have a remedy to defeat the program from making it easy to download with FVD, but for the moment I am enjoying trying this out.

[UPDATE: No one responded to this, so I proceeded on my own. This was on the fresh install of 3.1. I'm pretty far removed from being accomplished at Registry hacking, but, with a 14-day Trial counting down, it seemed there was little to lose. Mostly through trial and error, I cloned what needed to be cloned in the Registry, from the one remaining, original working install of 3.1 on another rig. It looks like it has taken: we'll see if it works and if it sticks. The next thing I'd like to try is reverting the 4.x installs to 3.x, which I suspect may be more difficult.]
