Hi there.
It's been days I'm trying to download UNprotected rtmp/rtsp steams properly, alas without success (call me dumb )
I'm obviously missing something, if only I knew what...

now the important word is PROPERLY, since it's non protected I sure can download all of this even with just ffmpeg/avconv.
but there are ALWAYS problems with file length.

each 320k track comes with a rtmp & rtsp adress.
here's one for instance, 13'51" long

rtmp://194.254.239.12:1935/cimu/_definst_/mp3:CMAU/CMAU000138700/CMAU000138701/CMAU000138701_03.mp3
or
rtsp://194.254.239.12:554/cimu/_definst_/mp3:CMAU/CMAU000138700/CMAU000138701/CMAU000138701_03.mp3

and here are the 4 main variants I tried :

case 1 : using rtsp w/ ffmpeg-avconv
download without problem. alas EACH stream starts @ 0.026212 as displayed instead of zero, ie something like one missing audio frame at the start.
since these are mostly classical concert recordings, it's a real problem to get missing bits within the continous gig...

case 2 : using rtmp w/ rtmpdump standard mode
download without problem... but you end up with file much...longer this time than expected length. something like 20-25% longer
if you drastically reduce buffer, you can reduce this but nonetheless you"ll never get the proper timing, there'll always be some extra...

case 3 : using rtmp w/rtmpdump -LIVE mode
dld much slower obviously but at least doesn't download extra stuff... alas it ALWAYS stop @ 99.8%
and you CAN'T resume it

case 4 : using rtmp w/ffmpeg or avconv :
at first it seems to work like rtsp, alas if the streams are long enough , the download will stop before the end.
ie with tracks at least 8-10 min long (20-24 MB @ 320k) you already have all chances it stops before reaching end of file...

I toyed with plenty rtsp/rtmp parameters without finding a single way to fix that mess..

Waterfox works with Naver, although I never even get a browser playback with Clipfish. Universal - still undetectable, like nothing's playing.

your system is 64 bit but your firefox can be in 32 bit
so if your firefox is in 32 bit use rtmpdumphelper in 32 bit
if your firefox is in 64 bit use rtmpdumphelper in 64 bit

maybe you need add support for web browser

geo restriction and not rtmp protocol but hds (encrypted) by default (.f4m) but it's not a problem you can find the direct link (.mp4) in the source page

Universal link can be seen trough source page - ugh, my bad! I'm so used to links being hidden or unusable that simple things get forgotten Universal / Clipfish turns out to be very crap quality anyway. Clipfish did not work for me even with proxy. Was wondering "What's the use to make Clipfish playback so complicated?" It's strange that so many people manage to see videos there.

So, a Youtube RTMP video is available on PC only as 720p, but for some weird reason it is also 1080p on my Android phone (with actual improvement of quality over 720p on PC). Is there any way to force to run it in 1080p on PC as well?
