Hi i have an avi file i want to convert to mpeg2 to run on a custom bit of software somebody else has built, but have gone bankrupt. I have one of there original mpeg2 file. What software can i use to get all the information from the original mpeg2 file so i can encode my avi file to the exactly the same standard. I have already converted the avi to mpeg 2 with a converter but the audio starts breaking up halfway through the song and then eventually stops (it only breaks up on the custom software not on another machine.) The custom software uses stradis mpeg2 decoders. Has anybody got any ideas why it would do this. The video remains good though just the audio is a problem. I also dont have an option of running other software to play the file. Thats why i want to try and copy the original.

    Many Thanks
