  1. Hello All,

I just downloaded the latest version of Virtualdub and installed DivXinstaller so Virtualdub could work with AVI files. Works fine. Now I want to work with a file that is in the MPEG2 format. I read that Virtualdub does not support MPEG2. Should I convert the MPEG2 to AVI or is there another fix? Also, are there any other updates or downloads that I should make to Virtual dub? Thanks, Bill

I think there might be some plugin for the regular Vdub to open mpg2 files but i'm not sure as i use the first one i posted for working on mpg2 files.

Virtualdub can load and edit mpeg-2 files, however it cannot directly output them. For that you need to frameserver to an mpeg-2 encoder.
