Hello all,
First let me apologize for my inexperience...I'm beyond new to this all. I tried capturing/importing some video last night from my Sony handycam DCR-SR45 Hybrid HDD onto my laptop. I usually use Windows Movie Maker because that's one of the two free programs that I have on my computer. WMM wouldn't even show that I had a camera connected to my laptop. So then I tried Roxio MyDVD 10. I was able to import/capture my desired video clips, but they had no sound. I kept getting this pop-up window saying, "that my version of Roxio didn't support AC3 audio and that I needed to upgrade". I looked at the website and I didn't know what to upgrade to and if possible...I would love to find a way to not have to put out money right now on new software. Espcially since I'm saving up for a Mac and final cut. I would love to be able to use WMM if there is a way, since I'm familiar with it, but if somebody could tell me how to get the audio to be accepted in Roxio I would greatly appreciate it. If there's any freeware I can download to convert the AC3 audio files to something Roxio or another program accepts, anything?
Sorry this is so long...once again thank you for any help.
