    Hi There,
I was wondering if someone could decipher this error message for me. (ffmpegX)
I got it after a cow bell sound, just after trying to encode a file. (AVi to DVD mpeg2enc)

Encoding started on Sun Oct 25 09:55:59 EDT 2009

DVD mpeg2enc defaults to decoding with Quicktime. And your QuickTime apparently doesn't support some properties of the video in your AVI.
Try switching to decoding with mplayer; or install Perian to help QuickTime deal with your AVI file. The first option (mplayer) is usually faster than the second (decoding with QuickTime).

And ffmpegX questions should go in the ffmpegX forum.
