    I am using Win 7 Ultimate.
    So I am trying to play a DVD with DTS 5.1 Audio.
    I am not getting sound! What shall I do?

    Try installing ac3filter and see if it helps - I think it is supposed to handle dts despite the name. - and ffdshow might be worth looking into as well.


    Also I do think there are audio packs you can buy seperately for windows media player to handle non dolby sound.

    Or try playing it with vlc or mediaplayerclassic. Those are both free to use.

    Ya i have installed but DTS is detected while playing MKV with DTS
    but while playing DTS DVD it is not detected!!

  4. ac3filter wont fully work on 7 power dvd will let u play dts and intergrates in media center but costs money ffdshow will play everything but dts on 7

    Ya u r right!!! PowerDVD plays DTS DVD but WMP 12 fails really!
    Any solution plz?

    The only actual solution is, drop WMP12.
    It was designed to let the user see and hear
    only what Microsoft regards as "best for all users".
