Anyone know of a program for just making your own custom menu? I have Magix Movie pro and Ulead Video Studio 11 and they all come with their own templates you HAVE to use. I'm a newbie who just wants to make a simple animated menu of my own design with my own JPGS. and video clips.

Freeware of payware doesn't matter. If there is a simple program that just does menus, so much the better. Even an online website that lets you do it would be OK.

    Thanks!

I haven't seen any ONLINE site for menus.

I make custom animated menus using DVD-lab pro, but it may be a bit to complex. Maybe just try make the animated background video using dvd slideshow gui and see if you can use it in your authoring app.

For still menus I use photoshop, but paintshop pro or gimp will do.

For motion menus use your video editor.

All you are doing in any of these is creating assets. The real work happens in your authoring program.

I create images in Photoshop, videos in Premiere.
Assembly of menus (authoring) is done in Ulead DVDWS2.

Womble have just released their brand-new DVD authoring software, Womble EasyDVD. I'm about to try it out. It is template-driven but has the ability to customize menus.

First impressions remind me of TMPGEnc Authoring Works.
