Hello,
My husband and I recently purchased an EasyCap to capture video from an old analog camera. Everything works fine except sound. The video looks great, but we cannot hear the sound when we play it back or while it's capturing.
I'm so annoyed. It's more trouble than it's worth. Is there an easy way to fix this, or an easier way other than EasyCap? I just want to get the movies off the old camera and get rid of it. UGH!!!!!
Thanks!

Did you run audio cables from the the camcorder to the EasyCap? Composite (yellow RCA connector) and s-video (round 5 pin DIN connector) don't carry audio.
There are about a million different products with "EasyCap" in the name. You should be more specific about exactly what product you have.
Guessing you have something like this:
You can see the s-video input (black), the composite video input (yellow), and the audio inputs (red and white). Camcorders usually have a stereo mini pin plug for output so you'll probably need a cable like this one:

i had the no sound issue too and the drivers never installed properly.
i installed the k-lite codec and amazingly it sorted things out.
sound input needs to be set to usb in ulead not usbheadphone or mic.
sound quality in windows movie maker and power producer are
crappy but the ulead sounds a lot better. go figure.
quite a bargain for $9!
