    Hi all!
I try to put my Record of Lodoss War vcds on one DVD, so I joined the movies with MyFlix, then I converted the audio to 48KHz as stated in the guide.
The movie is now about 2,8Gb (4 hours and 27 minutes).
I tried to import this file in DVDit and myDVD, but both give me this Error Alert:
DVDit! Can't find a decoder for E:\Mpg\Lodoss\Lodoss.mpg Verify to have installed a Decoder.
Why it give's me this error? Where can I find an appropriate decoder?
I tried to import the same file in SpruceUp and it manages to import it, but I don't like SpruceUp, it's not precise when I try to select the chapters.
The Mpeg file is readable by WMP and any other progs I tried, but is not importable by DVDit!
I created the mpeg (when I encoded it) with LSX Mpeg Encoder 3.5 and the other editing I did is just the demux and mux (Tmpgenc) to make the 48KHz conversion.
I even thought it could be a dimension issue, but DVDit gives me the same Error even on other Mpegs a lot smaller (I tried from 50MB to 250MB) and it gives me the problem even if I don't convert the sample rate!
I just managed to import Avi files, but I can't convert all the Lodoss war mpeg into Avi (even compressing with Huffyuv is more than 50GB!)
My system is Windows XP Pro, Athlon 700, 384MB SDRAM

    Thanx for the help! ^_^

  2. Well I havn't used those programs but ReelDVD will only accept the elementary mpeg streams then multiplex them into a vob. So demux and see if it will open them.

install a software dvd player such as powerdvd or windvd or install the mpeg2 codec to get a mpeg2 decoder.

  4. Hi Hedgehog,

I am curently using DVDit and used to get those sort of errors.

    Try this:-
Open mpeg in windows media player, let it play a few seconds, then pause it, DON'T CLOSE WINDOW, just minimize it to toolbar.

Now start DVDit, right click on import media files, it should import ok now.
