There is a cartoon series on XBL that I want. I have a few questions about the content.

    1. What format does MS use for the 360 downloaded content.
    2. How can you get the downloaded content to a PC
    3. Is there a DRM on the file and how do you remove it.

    1 - I'm 99% sure its wmv - but it's probably "specialized" for the 360 itself.

2 - you can't. If you use the ZUNE software you can download pretty much the same stuff (at least half of it I think) on to your pc. You don't have to have a ZUNE to use the zune software. You would need to buy it on the zune network obviously.

3 - well as mentioned I know of no known way to move a xbox live file off the 360 to a pc. You're only real option is to capture it to a pc. For video you would need to connect it to a capture card on your pc and capture it in realtime.

If you want 5.1 audio if it comes with it you either need a soundcard that supports bit accurate 24bit recording (the creative xfi series does) with a spdif input port OR you need the hauppauge hd pvr 1212 capture device. You can record high def and 5.1 audio with the component cables from the 360.

Again this would have to be done as a real time capture as far as I know.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

I use an ATI AIW card. I don't have the right inputs to support the 360 connectors. It only has S-Video support.

If you buy the component cable adapter for the 360 it INCLUDES the rca cables. You can use those. - Also they have rca to svideo adapters by the way.

Also I don't know what show you want and I don't need to know but why not try the zune software on your pc? Then you can search and see if you can download it directly from the zune marketplace to your pc without converting? The zune software itself is free and does not require a zune mp3 player.

I searched Zune Marketplace and I couldn't find it. The series I want is called The Adventures of Batman. It's a cartoon from the 60s. There is no DVD release for it and this is the only place that has it. I will look into the adapters. Thanks for the heads up. There is a program I found searching called Xplorer360 that lets you move stuff from the 360 to your PC via SDMemory.
