I recently purchased the Provideo PV231 and cannot make a xVCD that will play on my Pioneer DV333.
I capture at 2000 to 2500 CBR and edit with MyFlix. They look and sound great when played on my computer but the LOOK and SOUND awful when played on my DVD Player. The Video is very blocky and the audio is jumps and sputters. I tried ReMuxing and DeMuxing the file with TMPGEnc and that helped the Video looks great but the audio is out of sync a half a second.
The puzzling part about this is that xVCD’s I created by capturing a AVI and Encoding to MPG work Great. If I re-encode the MPG from the PV231, with the same setting I captured in, it works fine. I don’t want to have to re-encode my video files, that is why I got the PV231.
Does anyone what I am doing wrong or what is wrong with this card I would love to hear any responses.
