I know that there are programs like camtasia but i want something that saves it directly from the source, becuz some sites there is videos available that are made for great broadband connections and will give u better resolution on the movie clip. I have tried to right click and save but it doesnt work. i only get a small file which will give me directions to the source but it is in some strange format and will not let me connect to it.

There's a program called hyper cam that captures footage from an active window, with sound.

You might have to do a google search.

For the link that activates the stream you should be able to right click on it and choose save as.

Once that file is on your drive, open it with notepad, and look for the web address.

Then open a new text document and create a link to it
    for example

save that as a html file, open with IE, right click, and save as.
This only works against some real servers. If it's an http server you shouldn't have a problem

Use Streambox VCR v 3.1 You can cap no matter what the speed it reassembles the stream for you. Search any xxx movie forum, and you'll easily find it.

To help you out a little more, heres a Cradle of Filth video from metal blade.

    The link was ://...../cradle-of-hi.ram

I save that .ram file to my HD.

I opened it with notepad it said
    <TABLE BORDER=0 ALIGN=CENTER WIDTH=85%><TR><TD><font size=-1>Quote:</font><HR size=1 color=black></TD></TR><TR><TD><FONT SIZE=-1><BLOCKQUOTE>
    http://www.metalblade.com/real/realvideo/cradle-from-hi.rm
    </BLOCKQUOTE></FONT></TD></TR><TR><TD><HR size=1 color=black></TD></TR></TABLE>

    I change it to say
    <TABLE BORDER=0 ALIGN=CENTER WIDTH=85%><TR><TD><font size=-1>Quote:</font><HR size=1 color=black></TD></TR><TR><TD><FONT SIZE=-1><BLOCKQUOTE>
    </BLOCKQUOTE></FONT></TD></TR><TR><TD><HR size=1 color=black></TD></TR></TABLE>

Saved as whatever.html. Open with IE and right clicked, save as. I confirmed (watching the vid now) that it works.
