    been using convertx for about a year now all great but the last week
    every time i use it my pc crashes old and new versions works fine till u get
    to 25%-45% then pc locks up and u cant even reboot it u got to
    switch of at the mains and start again any help would b grateful

    starting to tear lumps out of my hair lol

    It might be an overheat problem. Do other encoders cause a similar problem? If you can monitor CPU temps, check them during the ConvertX encoding.

    It could also be failing RAM or something else within the computer. But if other similar encoders work without problems, then I would uninstall and reinstall ConvertX and see if that helps. I would also check to see what software was installed right before the problems started, though failing at 25% - 45% sounds more like an overheat problem.
