i want to change a 700 megabyte .avi file with tmpgenc,
how do i do that without excending a 750 megabyte limite????

I assume you are making a VCD. Well, if so, not sure what you mean by 750mb limit. Depending on the size of the CD you plan on burning the MPG to the file size will be limited to either 740mb or 800mb. When using VCD MPEG1 standards each minute of video/audio will equal 10mb. Therefore, depending on the size of your CD, you will either be able to fit 74 or 80 mins on one CD. You can always go lower then MPEG1 standard bitarte of 1150bps but this will reduce the quality and make it incompatible with many DVD players which is one of the primary benefits of using VCD over AVI.
