Not sure which forum this belongs in, so I put it here.

Thanks to the helpers in this thread, I was able to finish editing a video in Windows Movie Maker, but when I try to save it as a movie file, I get a message saying it can't be saved. It gives three possible reasons, none of which applies to me.

Searching on the Internet, I see that this is a common problem with WMM for which there is no simple, single fix. My uneducated guess is that some of the video files are still corrupted. Some of them will stutter or sometimes even stop at the same place when playing in the preview window (although that happens with a few of the transitions/effects, too). I guess I'd like to know if the files can be good enough that WMM will edit them, but faulty enough that it won't save them to a movie file. If so, how they can I find out?

Other than that, I'm completely stymied.
