    As subject. It works in windows media player but not media player classic, thx.

    In media player classic go into options and then *read* what it says about enabling subtitles. Quite easy really.

    Still don't work. hmm...I guessed I need to install directx9?! (If it a simple answer...why can't you give a simple straight forward answer, THX anyway). STOP

  4. Use the VMR7 Renderless, VMR9 Renderless, or EVR Custom Pres. output device. View -> Options -> Playback -> Output -> Directshow Video ->.... Exit MPC and restart it.

    Another issue to be aware of if you use both MPC and MPCHC: MPCHC uses the same registry key as MPC for subtitle options. Unfortunately they both save a string of numbers that are incompatible with each other. After running MPCHC you will find that MPC renders subtitles incorrectly. Something like this:



    They are in the wrong place, the font and properties are wrong, and they are rotated in 3 dimensions.

    What a strange coincidence!
    Just this evening I was watching "Elfen Lied" and the subtitles were exactly like that while using MPCHC.
    I had to delete MPC and an older version of MPCHC and re-select the newer version to get MPCHC working again.
