I have many divxs that r widescreen & I want 2 see them that way when I watch them on my dvd player. Should I use 4:3 NTSC or 16:9 NTSC? Does anyone know what setting I should use?

What is the resolution of your DivX, is it cropped or not?
Do you have a 16:9 or 4:3 TV? -
I just use the 4:3 regular template, and it will add the black lines. Its wide screen on my tv, but if you have a widescreen tv, it will still have those lines. Its not the correct way to do it, but its easiest and it works!

Do u mean it will cut off some of the screen & put some black bars 2 make it look widescreen? The Divx's r widescreen dvd rips I dont think they r cropped & I think they r 16:9. I just have a big screen TV so I don't think it's widescreen.

If you are using TMPGEnc, set the source aspect ratio to 16:9 NTSC, video arrange method "full screen keep aspect ratio" (all this at the advanced tab)
Then return to the video tab and set aspect ratio to 4:3 NTSC. TMPG will add the borders but wont cut anything.
This is the way to go, if your DivX is 16:9 and you want to watch it on a 4:3 TV. Take a short clip (2-3min) to test it.
