I don't think its made clear of exactly how far into the Delta Quadrant they were transported, but from wikipedia sources, the Milky Way Galaxy has a diameter of 100000 Light years.

Since the Earth is situated on a spur off one of the spiral arms of the galaxy, and if we consider that the Badlands where Voyager was taken by the caretaker, is not too far from the DS9 station at Bajor and from Earth's Solar System. Then I would say they were thrown a good way on the other side of the Galaxy!
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a7/Universe_Reference_Map_%28Location%29_001.jpegSun's location and neighborhood
The Sun (and therefore the Earth and the Solar System) may be found close to the inner rim of the galaxy's Orion Arm, in the Local Fluff inside the Local Bubble, and in the Gould Belt, at a distance of 7.62±0.32 kpc (~25,000±1,000 ly) from the Galactic Center.[33][34][35][36][37] The Sun is currently 5–30 parsecs from the central plane of the galactic disc.[37] The distance between the local arm and the next arm out, the Perseus Arm, is about 6,500 light-years.[38] The Sun, and thus the Solar System, is found in the galactic habitable zone.
But we can't know exactly unless we can determent the exact distance between Bajor & the Badlands and the Earth...
It is not made clear at Star Trek Alpha or Beta:

I only found this:

http://www.stdimension.org/int/Cartography/DistanceList.htmInterestingly we can reduce this three issues to one given that DS9 suggested - on screen as well as in documentations like the STS9 TM - that all three territories are located in the same region of space, separated by only a few (in the case of Cardassia-Bajor) or a few dozen (in the case of Bajor-Ferenginar) light years. We then have to only consider the distance of Earth to this region in the Alpha Quadrant. As we know, this has been a hot topic for years as there have been no definite figures, but only vague assumptions, but we know for sure that it can't be much more than a hundred light years (let alone the distance for half of the territory of the Federation, assuming that Earth is close to the the center, that would work out with 4000+ light years!) given that trips from DS9 to Earth, even if we assume high warp travels in all cases, only took a few days up to two weeks at best.
Indeed, Rick Sternbach's STS9 TM gives merely 50.3 light years as the distance of Bajor to the "inner perimeter of the Federation" and the "core worlds of the Federation", respectively, what is, of course, a loop hole leaving the ultimate distance Bajor-Earth still vague. In a recent interview, Sternbach assumed that this "inner sphere" would have a radius of only 20 light years, what results in about 70 light years distance.
With these distances, we can assume that the colonies of the Federation (with exception of Rigel and Antares) and the "classic" empires of the Romulans and Klingonsare all within 200 ly away from Earth. Lacking of every indication what the distance Earth-Bajor or Earth-Cardassia might be until recently, since the STS9 TM the distances of this "next generation" locations to the core region of the Federation is slightly clearer.
*Edit*
I just found this:
http://www.stdimension.org/int/Cartography/Voyager.htm
It seems that Voyger was thrown on the other side of the Galaxy after all... To the North-Western part of the Delta Quadrant to be exact:

I have to wonder how the terms North and West apply in space

man.., nobody carries the complete subtitles or even by whole seasons, so downloading *all* the subtitles for each episode over dialup is absolute murder..one by one, waiting to min of two webpages and a re-fresh and downloading each one like this is real drooling. While I download each ep, I jump back and forth between google, searching for anything on search keys "all" or "complete" subitles, etc. etc. etc.
I started half hour ago, but so far, I have like 9, and couple hundred more to go..been at this the liast half hour or so.

Take a break. Look at your syntax. Dude, your mind is fried!
There are no problems - only chances to excel.
