    Screen capture = Camstudio
See the tools section for others:

    or

    PPT to Video = http://www.effectmatrix.com/PowerPoint-Video-Converter/Free-PowerPoint-Video-Converter.htm
This works okay, but the freeware version is limited to mpeg1.

  3. Authorstream.com can convert to video and you can use DVDFlick to author a DVD:

    A note about Camtasia:
Although it's a great program it's output files cannot be used with DVDFlick(for whatever reason).

    Have a look > http://www.freewaregenius.com/2008/12/17/how-to-convert-powerpoint-to-dvd-for-free/

Having used E.M Free Powerpoint Video Converter I recommend mpeg1 but resize for full dvd specs ... use mpg2cut to edit out useless garbage and save as new file ... bang into dvdflick ... no water mark

    moviegeek,

i dont ssee any option on a uthorstrem to upload an audio file, how do you do it or can you?

    bjs:

I tried to use em free ..... but it seems to just go in a loop, the progress bar starts off and goes to the end and then repeats along witha repetition of the slideshow audio. Is this normal

In order to download the video the presentaion has to be less than 45min and have narration set to start automatically. The free version has a ad logo but you can pay $2 for a non-logo version. The video converter mentioned above may be easier to use.

Nope but check power point presentation ... from 2003 powerpoint "loop" option was viable unless esc is pressed ... that could cause the problem.
