I used tsMuxeR to author an AVCHD disc the other day and it came it fine. I combined 5 episodes of a show, and used the custom chapters option to "separate" each episode. But then today I tried to do the same to the next 5 episodes and I got this error:

tsMuxeR finished with error code -2.

    tsMuxeR output:
    SmartLabs tsMuxeR. Version 1.10.6 http://www.smlabs.net
    Decoding H264 stream (track 1): Profile: High@3.1 Resolution: 1280:720p Frame rate: 23.976
H.264 stream does not contain fps field. Muxing fps=23.976
H264 bitstream changed: insert nal unit delimiters
H264 bitstream changed: insert pict timing and buffering period SEI units
    Decoding AC3 stream (track 2): Bitrate: 384Kbps Sample Rate: 48KHz Channels: 2
B-pyramid level 1 detected. Shift DTS to 2 frames
H264 bitstream changed: insert SPS/PPS units

    Errors:
SPS picture order 6 not supported.

Anybody have any idea what the problem might be?

I just tried using multiavchd and it completely confused me. I'd rather use tsmuxer if anybody has any idea why it's giving me problems all of the sudden.

the only hard thing/confusing aspects of multiAVCHD is the menu options..period. its not hard.
i'd use that as the last posted noted.

I tried multiavchd again and it just froze up and then an Windows message popped up saying that the program had stopped working. Then the same thing happened with tsmuxer. Any idea what the problem is? I've tried a bunch of different files but I just can't get it to work anymore.

Usually when those programs freeze and crash is when you either have a corrupt file and or no codecs installed for those files, what codecs do you have installed and do the files play all the way through on your computer with no problems?

I don't know what codecs I have installed; which ones should I have?

Install ffdshow and haali media splitter, uninstall k-lite and any other codec pak if they are on your system and dont listen to anyone who says k-lite is good to install cause it causes problems like you are having.

  9. Such error is not related to anything in the user's configuration. SPS order error means that the video stream in the input file has broken/incompatible blocks and cannot be processed into m2ts container.

A thing to try is to DEMUX these files to video+audio and then remux back into MKV and try again.

p.s. Another thing to try (although I doubt it will help) - remove the checkbox for [-] Continually insert SPS/PPS
