  1. First off, in the how to , it mentions a file called Avisynthv104.zip. , after unraring, there is no file called that. I did a search also.

In dvdx 1.7 I can open a ifo file, but then after the settings screen I get an error that says "MPEG2Dec error during decoder initialization."

    Can any1 pleez help.

let me tell u dvdx v1.7 is the biggest pile of SH!T ever!! dvdx v1.6 is way way better than 1.7 and has far less bugs.

  3. And version 1.8 was released yesterday, and it's worse that 1.7!!.

Thank God that I just made a small 10 minute clip to test it, and not a whole movie!.

The audio and video are out of synchronism in different parts. It sucks!!.

I just hope that some day it works, because the features it has ( if they worked correctly ) would make DVDX the "swiss army knife" of all DVD to VCD programs.

For the time being, I'll stick to Xmpeg. It has never let me down.

  4. Ditto That!!!!

Use FlaskMpeg or XMpeg 4 (Same thing, though I've had better luck with Subtitles with Flask)

I fully agree as well....I was getting a very dark grey layer on my encoded mpeg-1 with DVDX 1.7 and 1.8 and bad audio as well....

But using all the same settings in DVDX 1.6, it just worked superb and now I have a SVCD of Star Wars.

I thought they fixed things up and not stuff them up when they released upgrades
