    Hello,

Has anyone here ever created a PAL M DVD from a NTSC MPEG2 file? My understanding is that PAL M has a similar frame rate and scan line to NTSC; however the color carrier is different?

If I create a NTSC 16:9 or 4:3 DVD from an MPEG2 file, which was encoded using TMPGEnc XPress 4.0, and send it to Brazil, will it work properly there? If not, what will I need to change within TMPGEnc XPress 4.0 to make a working PAL M DVD?

    Thanks in advance!

There are just PAL and NTSC DVDs (without modifications). PAL-M is an analog color TV broadcasting standard. Any NTSC DVD should work in Brazil. Technically, either their DVD players should output PAL-M signal for native TV's, or their TV's should have an NTSC input as well. Anyway, all DVDs manufactured in Brazil are standard NTSC ones.
