  1. Hi,
I have a DivX with the following properties...
    AUDIO:- MPEG Layer-3,160 kBit/s, 48,000 Hz, Stereo
    VIDEO:-576 x 240, 24 Bits, 125638 Frames, 23.976 Frames/Sec, 136 KB/Sec, DIVXMPG4 V3

But for some reason when I try to VCD it in TMPEG, it does not regognise the audio. DOes any know why.
Also, what is the best way to get the audio into a format that TMPEG will know?

    Thanks alot for your help!

  3. Ok, still have a problem.
I have made a WAV using VDub but when I use it to encode a VCD, the sound is TOTALY out of sync and I mean way way off.

I have even encoded the sound and video as seperate system files and multiplexed them together but the sound is still way way way out.

I have no idea why as the audio IS the exact size of the film in length.

    Has anybody any ideas?

    Thanks.

  4. Almost same problem here. Audio is stable throughout the whole movie. But video will speed up and slow down every few minutes as if it loses sync with audio and tries to sync back again. Tried using CCE 2.62 and it does not have any sync problems at all. But at low xVCD bitrates (700 ~ 900 kbits), CCE does not look as good as TMPGEnc.

    TMPGEnc 2.52
    WinXP Pro
    DivX3 and DivX4 codecs
    VDUB to create .wav
    TSVC

    Please help!!!!!

  5. more info...

Something I have just noticed when listening to the audio closely in tmpeg.
    The audio jumps,
for example if somebody is saying.
THIS IS THE BIT WHERE THE AUDIO GOES WRONG.
    It is encoded sounding like
    THIS IS THE GOES WRONG.

Strange as listening to the Wav I made in Winamp and it plays fine. It seems to be something Tmpeg is doing.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

  6. Hi, GRAY

Load your first file to Virtual Dub,
Go to AUDIO / INTERLEAVING / Enable it.
Leave Preload 500, Interleave audio every 1 frames,
Go to "Delay Audio Track By" ;Use some miliseconds (minus or plus) according to your needs.
Check the result immediately from INPUT PLAYBACK button (At the Bottom, second from left)
After little experience you will find the correct shifting value.

If it does NOT help, get "Sonic Video 3.0" through KaZaa or Morpheus, which is giving very useful options for editing.

    Good luck.

  7. You can try to change audio format to "NO COMPRESSION PCM" which always works (44.100 hz / 176.400 bytes). I'm always using this format to create VCD's in TMPEGenc with "Dual Channel" option instead of Stereo. (44100 hz / 224 kbps / Dual Channel) This system also removes some bad noises which was previously recorded.
