    I have the video footages which were created from photo slideshow and exported to mpg(the file extension).
    Using 'VideoPad' to edit the part of the video(cut the last 4 seconds), when I dragged the video files into timelime, I see the error message in the right monitor window, saying "Failed to read video frame" taking whole monitor window in the image type with 'X'.

    The videos play OK in Windows Media Player, Media Player Classic or Nero Showtime, VLC. GOM Player.
    Even I can burn the DVD with Encore DVD.

    Here is the info, as far as I can find.

    (1) from GOM Player.

    (3) from Nero Showtime
    Video : MPEG-2 Main Level.

    WinXP Pro Service Pack 3, Pentium D CPU 3.4GHz, 2.00 GB Ram

    Do we need any particular codecs installed in the computer?
    Any idea please?

    If you just need to cut then try mpg2cut2 instead as I think videopad will reconvert the video.
