I have encountered the following problem when trying to add subtitles to an avi file with virtual dub:
After adding the subtitler filter to video dub and the relevant video file, I get the following message when trying to load the SSA file to the subtitler: "The application or DLL. (name of file) SSA. is not a valid windows image. Please check installation disk". I have tried the process with three different SSA. files converted from SRT; the result was the same.
I would be grateful for a solution.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Things to be considered:
--- what version of VirtualDub you're using;
--- are those SSA files fully-compliant with the specifications?
--- other "subtitle filters" than VSFilter.dll are not very-reliable IMO.
