    I made a fake AVI with makeavis that came with ffvfw and I want to be able to decode it with ffdshow so I can import it to Vegas. Going to the ffdshow's video encoder configurations I tried to enable it but it won't let me. I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling with everything and I still can't change it. Any ideas?

    Is your avs script ok?

    Can you open your dummy avi in vdub?

    I find makeavis works <50% of the time in vegas. avs2avi works >80% in vegas

    It works ok on XP with my PC, but not on Vista 64 bit with my laptop where I installed a 64 bit version of ffdshow. Do you think that's the problem? Should I just uninstall and install the 32 bit version?
