Hello,
I just got the HF200 and it has 2 modes for recording in 1080P, FXP and MXP. I was just curious as to what exactly the differences where and if it worth it to actually use MXP over FXP, which I believe is supposed to be better, but someone at a site, can't remember the site said that you might as well just use FXP.

Yeah that part I got because it says it on the camera, but being a noob, I was looking for a bit deeper of an explanation.

Higher bitrate means not as lossy, and generally better quality
But the sensor/imager/lens on consumer level camcorders isn't that great, so the visible quality differences aren't that great between the 2 modes. Using a higher quality camcorder like HMC150 for example, you can tell the differences more easily between 17Mbps and 24Mbps. Still I would use MXP if you can afford it (in terms of shooting time)
