I use Nero to burn my Video CD's which works better then anyother burning program out there.

that is if its an mpeg. file,

when i use a avi. file movie and encode it with Nero
I get a trob like distortion every 2 seconds. which makes the movie unwatchable. if i use TMPGnc to encode the movie it says it cannt cuz it was compressed audio. and if i try to decompress it, it says it can read it.

i get this with all avi. file movies.

is there anyone out there that knows the best way to get a avi. file on a VCD??

thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

  2. As far as I am aware...... you would need to redo your avi files to a VCD compliant mpeg. I have been trying to do this as I wish to convert some DivX to vcd. Problem I have is after using Virtual Dub to create audio file, TMPGenc will not accept the avi file from the DIVX disk.

if you have a look at the column on the left
    'HOW TO'
    'CONVERT'

there is some info and tools for converting AVI to MPEG. Give it a go, am still trying myself
Totally agree with NERO it does seem to be the best!

Not sure if it's been any help.
