you tried to reinstall XP because you got a new monitor?
anyway, I'd keep trying by formatting/wiping your HD first

  4. Your hard drive is unable to boot because of an incomplete install. This indicates absolutely nothing more than an incomplete install of the operating system. This is an educated guess as you have failed to post the on-screen information displayed when attempting to boot which would enable a more accurate assesment of the issue.

If you want a more accurate answer, YOU will have to provide more information. Replacing a laptop screen does not require OS installation, why was this done? Why did the screen need replaced?

A BSOD usually has some information on it, such as a stop error with a bunch of numbers. Did you write those down? If so, post them here. If not, then you have lost the only useful diagnostic information available.

If you would like wild guesses based of phases of the moon or tea leaves, I'm sure you can get some of those. If you would like something slightly more accurate, then a full and complete description of all changes ocurring recently to the PC, and error messages received, and anything else out of the ordinary which has happened to the box, will be necessary.
