    I have been downloading various things from youtube and there are spaces or gaps between chapters, how wouuld I take these out to make a smooth DVD? Robin

    A vague description like that will at best get you vague answers.

    Essentially, the process is to load all the clips together into an editor (say, AVI Demux), edit out any gaps, export a single video, and author from this. Chapters are not separate video clips, but markers in a single clip, place when authoring.
