I'm following the guide located at http://glenharrison.com/bluray/index.htm but I have a problem. After demuxing I am suppose to have one audio and one video file but I have six files, 5 .ddp and 1 .avc file. The next step says to use h264info and open the avc file but when I try to the file is not listed and the dropdown menu for file extensions only shows .264, .h264 and .mpv. Any ideas? I'm assuming the guide is outdated in which case I need another way of converting, preferably one that keeps menus and extras.

Ripbot will convert in one program to a BR structure. I've converted many HD-DVD's to BR with Ripbot. Movie only.

Yeah I've heard that and will probably end up using it if I can't find a way to keep the menus and extras.

edit: One question about Ripbot, It only allows one choice for audio? I don't have surround sound yet but plan for it in the future, if I select 5.1 it will still output fine for 2.0 right? Or will I need to choose 2.0 now and redo them again when I do get surround sound?

    Or MultiAVCHD.

edit: Or maybe it's just blu-ray to hd-dvd...

I think the latest version of Ripbot allows to use any audio stream. Latest says it will auto select the lossless stream.

None of the guides I have seen on doing that have provided a way to keep menus and extras. The guide you posted about requires the use of Scenarist. I can tell you that Scenarist is not cheap at all and it's not very intuitive if you haven't used it before. If this is your first time to try this kind of thing and you've never used Scenarist before, I'm not sure that following this guide instead of using Ripbot is your best choice.

Use 5.1, but you might consider using something like eac3to to extract the DTS or AC3 core files, especially if you are burning to DVD media instead of Blu Ray media. 5.1 should be downconverted to 2.0 automatically by your TV.

use clown_bd and be done with it...there is NO NEED for Scenarist....just a few clicks with clown_bd and you are done.

Can Ripbot handle discs with more than one title? Clown bd seems to only take the first title on the BladeRunner disc with three versions and on Planet Earth discs.
