I got an .avi video from the net which runs choppy on the computer as well as on the DVD player. Is there a way to make it run more smoothly? No problem if I have to reencode it. Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Best to encode it if that fixes it.

Reencoded it as .avi and .mpg with no success...

  6. There's a lot more wrong with it than just the choppy playback. The guy that made it was a complete incompetent and also did an improper resize of an interlaced source. But no, it can't be fixed.

  7. Manono is correct, there is no fixing that video.

Thatīs a pity. Some videos are rare and the person who has them should know at least how to encode them with a minimum acceptable quality.

    Thanks anyway jagabo and manono
